Dear Friends, On November 21st I will be performing at Matthews Field in Thomaston, Georgia. But this performance is like no other. Jessa Green is an 8 year old, vibrant little girl who just recently was diagnosed with MetaChromatic Luekrodystrophy (MLD), a genetic disorder that affects the nerves, muscles, organs, and even affects behavior through the development of Dementia. Sadly, there is no cure and the life expectancy after diagnosis is 2-4 years depending on treatment. I write to you because I am asking for your help. In any way that you can. Jessa does have insurance which is certainly helping, but there are so many expenses that her parents, Sandra and Jason have incurred since their daughter's diagnosis a few months ago. Jessa is awaiting the call from Duke Univeristy to recieve specialized treatment with the hopes that she can still have a quality of life. Her family will travel with her to Duke which means that they will have to put their current jobs on hold to be with their daughter. This only means harder times financially for this family. The benefit for Jessa is Saturday November 21st at Matthews Field in Thomaston, Georgia from 11am-8pm. Admission for adults is $8 and $4 for children. There will be lots of food, music, raffles, car show, and a silent auction with all the proceeds going to Jessa and her family. I have devoted myself to helping this little girl since I met her a couple months ago. She loves my music and I will be donating all proceeds from sales at this benefit to her and her family.
